1964 Version A Disneyland Map
There are two versions of the 1964 map. This version A shows up less than Version B. Both have green borders and represent the last two maps in the first series. The 1964 Version A Disneyland Map saw the disappearance of Holidayland (even though it technically closed in September 1961). Of interest to note, the circus of Holidayland was previously the Mickey Mouse Club Circus, which was a point of contention between Walt Disney and Disneyland’s first General Manager C.V. Woods. Woods felt that the circus had no place in Disneyland. It was actually Woods who was let go of by the Disney brothers just shortly before the Mickey Mouse Club Circus ended.4 Holidayland having separate admission gates and boundaries always had it set apart from Disneyland. It seemed inevitable that it would close. Other changes in this version of the map include the moving of the Guest Relations Tour Guides office from the Hub to Town Hall. As well as several sponsorship changes.
