1961 Disneyland Map
The first map to follow the five 1958 versions came about three years later, in 1961. The 1961 Version Disneyland Map’s most apparent difference is a change from an orange to pink border. In fact, this is the only map in the first series with a pink border, making it easy to identify. A few exhibits from Tomorrowland have been removed like the Crane Bathroom of Tomorrow, Kaiser Aluminum in our Furniture, and Richfield’s The World Beneath Us. But some of its most notable features are areas of expansion around the Disneyland Hotel, in Tomorrowland, and around the park. In this version is the first appearance of the Monorail System that connects the Disneyland Hotel Monorail Station to the Tomorrowland Monorail Station. As well as the Tomorrowland Flying Saucers and the Disneyland Hotel Miniature Golf Course and 18 Hole 3 Par Golf Course. The Heliport has been moved from being east of the park to the north border of the Disneyland Hotel.
