1958 Version INA Disneyland Map
The creation of the first Disneyland large park map was sponsored by Insurance Company of North America (INA), one of the original 33 sponsors of the park. Consequently, just prior to Version A, there was the 1958 Version INA Disneyland Map. This version was created months before Version A was introduced inside the park. Version INA was mailed to INA agents that qualified for the upcoming Disneyland INA Conference on Family Security and Happiness that took place on January 9th – 15th, 1958. Maps were mailed with a letter at the end of the qualification date of November 15th, 1957, far in advance of the conference.3 Read more about the history of the 1958 Version INA Disneyland Park Map.

The mark that distinguishes Version INA from other versions of the first series is the INA Conference on Family Security and Happiness logo. It can be found in the bottom right corner of the map, underneath Walt’s famous welcome address. The text “Insurance by North America” runs inline to the right of the logo. The rest of the map otherwise is a Version A. For example, it has the green waters of the Jungle Cruise, the Junior Autopia, the Viewliner, and there is no Matterhorn.
With only two known copies to exist, this is the rarest of the Disneyland park maps. In fact, the two map images above are the only photos known to exist of the Version INA map. One is from an Ebay auction in 2012 and the other a Profiles in History auction in 2015. Because the resolution of each of these images is low, the INA logo and text can only be slightly seen. If you, or anyone you know, owns or has access to a Version INA map, please Contact me. I would appreciate having a higher resolution image of the INA logo and text.
